FGLT-A Board: Latin American GPON Network Expansion Case
In 2025, a leading telecom operator in Brazil deployed the FGLT-A GPON line termination board across its 7360 ISAM FX subracks to expand broadband access in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Brasília. Leveraging the FGLT-A’s 1.28 Tb/s switching matrix and 16 GPON ports (2.488 Gbps down/1.244 Gbps up), the operator connected 300,000+ new users with stable gigabit broadband. Its pluggable SFP modules simplified deployment, while CO-focused design ensured seamless integration. Post-launch, network throughput increased 85%, with zero service disruptions, fulfilling growing demand for remote work and streaming services.
