Large-scale operator MA5608T OLT cluster core control deployment
A leading domestic telecommunications operator, in the second phase of its "All-Optical City" project, adopted Huawei's MA5608T OLT cluster solution to meet the FTTH network expansion needs of over 500,000 users in the main urban area. The SCUH was used as the core control unit for each MA5608T.
Each MA5608T is configured with two SCUH units for dual-controller load sharing: the four 10GE uplink ports of the SCUH connect to the operator's backbone transmission network, while the built-in 20GE internal link of the SCUH facilitates business data interaction with 16 service slots (equipped with GPFD GPON boards), enabling centralized control and traffic aggregation of 256 GPON ports.
The SCUH's wide operating temperature range of -40℃ to +65℃ is suitable for the high-temperature environment of equipment rooms in summer, and the dual-controller automatic switching function ensures uninterrupted control links during extreme weather conditions such as typhoons; the 9216-byte Jumbo Frame support improves the transmission efficiency of high-bandwidth services such as 4K IPTV and cloud gaming, helping the operator deliver on its promise of "gigabit bandwidth and zero lag" user experience. A single MA5608T cluster, managed collaboratively through the SCUH, stably supports concurrent service access for over 30,000 users.
