SPUF / SPUFS is the switch & control card of ZXA10 C620. SPUF / SPUFS provides one out-of-band management (MGMT) interface, one maintenance serial interface (Console), one Environmental detection serial interface (Monitor, supporting 3 digital input interfaces and 1 digital output interface) and one line card debugging serial interface (ODB).
1. 5G Small Cell Backhaul in Brazil
A Brazilian telecom operator deployed ZTE SPUFS Control Boards in ZXA10 C620 OLTs for 5G small cell backhaul in São Paulo’s suburban areas. The SPUFS’s built-in IEEE 1588 PTP function delivered nanosecond-level time synchronization, critical for 5G service quality. Its 4×10GE interfaces ensured high-bandwidth backhaul, while the environmental monitoring interface tracked outdoor cabinet conditions in humid tropical climates. Hot-swappable design allowed maintenance without downtime, supporting 100,000+ 5G users and advancing Brazil’s 5G coverage goals.
2. Industrial Automation Network in Austria
An Austrian automotive manufacturer adopted ZTE SPUFS boards with ZXA10 C620 OLTs to upgrade its factory’s industrial internet network. The SPUFS provided precise time synchronization (via IEEE 1588) for robotic arms and production line sensors, ensuring coordinated operations. Load balancing and non-blocking switching guaranteed stable real-time data transmission, while the Monitor interface enabled remote monitoring of equipment room temperature and humidity. The board’s compatibility with ZTE’s multi-PON cards also supported future expansion of the smart factory system.
