Huawei MA5608T OLT Overview

The Huawei SmartAX MA5608T is a compact, high-performance Optical Line Terminal (OLT) designed for space-constrained fiber access scenarios such as residential neighborhoods, building basements, and outdoor cabinets. As the smallest model in Huawei’s MA5600T series, it uniquely integrates the functions of an aggregation switch and an edge router.

Since the MA5600T series has been discontinued, all MA5608T units currently sold by MF-Telecom are used. For unused units or if you require XGSPON capabilities, please refer to: HUAWEI MA5800-X2 OLT.

  • Form Factor: 2U height, 19-inch rack-mountable chassis.
  • Capacity: Supports up to 4,096 GPON subscribers, with a switching capacity of up to 720 Gbit/s.
Slot Configuration:
-2 Service Slots: Compatible with GPON, 10G GPON, or Ethernet P2P cards.
-2 Control Board Slots: Normally equipped with MCUD (GE) or MCUD1 (10GE) boards for management and uplink connectivity.
-1 Power Slot: Redundant power supply options, supporting AC or DC (-48V) input.
  • Access Modes: Supports GPON, 10G GPON, EPON, P2P, as well as legacy services including ADSL2+, VDSL2, and POTS.
  • Environmental Resilience: Operates within a wide temperature range of -40°C to +65°C (-40°F to +149°F).
