Huawei MA5800-X2 Overview

The Huawei MA5800 is the world’s first smart aggregation OLT built on a distributed architecture, and it’s positioned as the next-generation OLT for NG-PON applications. The MA5800 series comprises four models: MA5800-X2, MA5800-X7, MA5800-X15, and MA5800-X17.
Boasting flexible access capabilities including GPON, 10G GPON (XG-PON and XGS-PON included), P2P GE, and 10GE, the MA5800 supports deployment across FTTH, FTTD, FTTB, FTTC, and distributed converged cable access platform (D-CCAP) networks. This enables it to serve diverse scenarios such as home broadband access, enterprise dedicated line services, mobile network backhaul, and Wi-Fi hotspot backhaul—realizing unified aggregation of all services over a single fiber network.
As a high-capacity aggregation device, the MA5800 converges traffic from ONTs, MDUs, and campus switches, streamlining network architecture and lowering operational expenditures (OPEX).
The MA5800-X2 chassis can be configured with one or two MPSC/MPSA main control boards, plus one PISA AC power board.
