The fan module has two fans to cool the chassis, and a failure of a fan does not immediately affect system operations. When any fan in a fan module fails, fix the fan module as soon as possible.
The fan module reports an alarm when a fan in it fails. When receiving such an alarm, fix the fault immediately to ensure effective cooling for the chassis.
Automatic fan speed adjustment
The switch provides intelligent fan speed adjustment based on temperature in each zone, and correlate speeds of fans in the entire chassis. The system monitors the temperature of key components, and adjusts the fan speed based on temperature changes. This intelligent fan speed adjustment function ensures that the system stays within the proper operating temperature range, and reduces power consumption and noise.
Hot swapping
Supported
Other fan modules are not affected when you install or remove a fan module.

ES1M00FBX001 FAQ
Q1: Is this firewall module compatible with the Huawei S12708 switch? Is additional software licensing required?
A1: Fully compatible! No additional licensing is required. It automatically recognizes the module after insertion into the switch's service slot, enabling basic firewall functions. Advanced functions can be subscribed to on demand, such as threat database subscriptions.
Q2: What are the core advantages of a hardware firewall compared to a software firewall? What scenarios is it suitable for?
A2: The core advantages are performance bottleneck-free operation and high stability: Hardware forwarding does not consume switch CPU resources, ensuring smooth operation even with 10 Gigabit traffic, making it suitable for high-concurrency and core business scenarios; software firewalls are easily limited by host performance, making them suitable for small to medium traffic scenarios.
Q3: What are the core differences between this and Huawei's standalone hardware firewalls (such as the USG6000E series)? How to choose?
A3: The core difference lies in the deployment form: the ES1M00FBX001 is integrated into the switch (saving space and seamlessly adapting); the USG6000E is standalone (more comprehensive functions, suitable for large independent borders). If you already have a Huawei high-end switch, choose the integrated type; if you need independent border protection, choose the USG series.
