Huawei CE128000 Series Switch CE-MPUC-S Main Processing Unit.
Functions and features
Function and Feature
Description
Device management and maintenance
Provides management ports (such as a serial port) for operators to manage and maintain the system.
Device monitoring
Integrates a monitoring module that provides the monitoring plane, allowing you to remotely power on, power off, and reset cards, upgrade firmware, monitor card temperature, voltage, and power, manage asset information, and diagnose system faults.
Out-of-band communication between cards
Integrates a LAN switch module that provides out-of-band communication between cards. The LAN switch module completes control, monitoring, maintenance, and message switching for SFUs and LPUs.
Route calculation
Processes all routing protocol packets, which are sent from the forwarding engine.
Broadcasts and filters packets, and downloads routing policies from the policy server.
Data configuration
Stores configuration data, startup files, upgrade software, and system logs.
Save data
The CE-MPUC-S uses NAND flash to save data files.

CE-MPUC-S FAQ
Q1: Which Huawei switch models does CE-MPUC-S support? How compatible is it?
A1: It mainly adapts to Huawei CE9800 and CE8800 series high-end core switches, with deep hardware and software compatibility and 100% compatibility. It can run normally without additional debugging.
Q2: How is dual-machine redundancy backup implemented? Will the switching process affect services?
A2: It adopts a primary/backup dual-machine hot standby architecture, synchronizing configuration and status data in real time; the fault switching time is less than 1 second, the control plane is unaware of the fault, and service transmission is uninterrupted.
Q3: Does the processing performance of CE-MPUC-S meet the core requirements of medium and large-scale data centers? How many devices can it support?
A3: The multi-core architecture ensures high-performance scheduling. A single main controller can support thousands of network devices and millions of terminal connections; multiple deployments can further expand processing capacity to meet the needs of ultra-large core networks.
