The card provides data packet processing and traffic management on 24 GE electrical ports, 48 10GE optical ports and 2 25GE optical ports.

The S16700-4 chassis provides up to 8 x 25GE ports, 192 x 10GE ports, and 96 x GE ports.
The S16700-8 chassis provides up to 16 x 25GE ports, 384 x 10GE ports, and 192 x GE ports.
10/100/1000BASE-T port
A 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet electrical interface works in GE mode and supports 10M/100M auto-sensing.
10GE SFP+ optical port
When the 10GE SFP+ optical ports work in 10GE mode, they support SFP+ 10GE optical modules and 10GE copper modules, 10GE high-speed cables, and AOC cables.
When the 10GE SFP+ optical ports work in 2.5GE mode, they support SFP 2.5GE optical modules.
When the 10GE SFP+ optical ports work in GE mode, they support SFP GE optical modules and 1000BASE-T copper modules. When using a 1000BASE-T copper module, a port supports 100M/1000M auto-sensing.
