Functions and Features
Function
Description
Input protection
Input overvoltage protection
In this protection state, the power module is turned off and stops supplying power. When the system recovers from input overvoltage, the power module can automatically start supplying power again.
Input undervoltage protection
In this protection state, the power module is turned off and stops supplying power. When the system recovers from input undervoltage, the power module can automatically start supplying power again.
Input polarity reversal protection
The input does not distinguish the positive and negative wires. The input is normal. The reverse connection is normal, and no alarm is generated.
Output protection
Output overvoltage protection
In this protection state:
If output overvoltage is caused by the power module itself, the power module stops supplying power. When the system recovers from output overvoltage, the power module cannot automatically start supplying power again.
If output overvoltage is caused by increase of the input voltage received from the external power source, the power module stops supplying power. When the system recovers from output overvoltage, the power module can automatically start supplying power again.
Output overcurrent protection
In this protection state, the output current is limited to a certain value. When the system recovers from output overcurrent, the power module can automatically start supplying power again.
Output short-circuit protection
In this protection state, the power module supplies power intermittently, and the output current is limited to a range. When the system recovers from output short-circuit, the power module can automatically start supplying power again.
Overtemperature protection
When the temperature of the power module exceeds a specified threshold, the power module stops supplying power. When the temperature falls into the normal range, the power module automatically resumes power supply.
Hot swapping
The power module is hot swappable.

PHD3KS54-CD FAQ
Q1: Which Huawei switches is this power module compatible with? Does it support hot-swapping?
A1: It is exclusively compatible with the entire Huawei S9300 series (S9303/S9306/S9310/S9312, etc.); it supports hot-swapping, allowing for online replacement or expansion without interrupting equipment operation.
Q2: What scenarios are suitable for a 3000W power supply? What are its advantages compared to ordinary power modules?
A2: It is suitable for dense deployments and high-load operation scenarios of S9300 multi-service boards; its advantages include sufficient power, support for redundant power supply, multiple protections, and higher reliability.
Q3: Which redundant power supply modes does it support? What is the input voltage range?
A3: It supports multiple redundancy modes such as N+1 and N+N; the input voltage is compatible with AC (e.g., 100-240V) / DC (e.g., -48V), depending on the product specifications, and is suitable for different data center power supply environments.
