The S7700 series switches (S7700 for short) are high-end smart routing switches designed for nextgenerationenterprise networks. The S7700 design is based on Huawei’s intelligent multi-layer switching technology to provide intelligent service optimization methods, such as MPLS VPN, traffic analysis, comprehensive H-QoS policies, controllable multicast, load balancing, and security, in addition to high-performanceLayer 2 to Layer 4 switching services.

100/1000BASE-T PoE++ electrical port
RJ45
A 100/1000BASE-T PoE++ electrical port sends and receives service data at 100/1000 Mbit/s.
The port supports the PoE function.
In V200R022C10 and later versions, the rate of the first 24 100/1000BASE-T electrical ports can be automatically reduced to 10 Mbit/s.

Functions and Features
Description
Basic function
The card has two units:
Data switching unit: consists of the CPU, switching chip, and physical layer (PHY).
PoE management unit: consists of the CPU and the PSE daughter card.
The card provides:
Forty-eight 100/1000BASE-T ports for data transmission and switching
PoE++ function
Distributed forwarding
Performs concurrent data forwarding using a distributed data plane.
Hot swapping
Supported
Maximum power
When the card is used on a non-PoE chassis: the card does not provide PoE power supply.
When the card is used on a PoE chassis of S7703, S7706, or S7712: 90 W for each port and 1776 W for the whole card
When the card is used on the S7703 PoE or S7706 PoE: 90 W for each port and 2880 W for the whole card
PoE usage constraints
The card can be registered and used in a PoE chassis only when the following conditions are met:
A PSE daughter card has been installed in the card.
S7703, S7706, and S7712 chassis: The PoE power modules are supplying power to the chassis normally.
S7703 PoE and S7706 PoE chassis: The power modules are supplying power to the chassis normally.
When the card used in a non-PoE chassis, the card does not provide the PoE function.

LSS7G48VX6E0 FAQ
Q1: Is it compatible with Huawei S7706 switches? Will there be bandwidth bottlenecks with 48 ports operating at full load and long-distance transmission?
A1: Fully compatible! Supports the entire S7700/S9700 series, with backplane bandwidth ≥48Gbps. Full load transmission is bottleneck-free, and the low insertion loss design ensures long-distance stability, meeting large-scale access needs.
Q2: How is the signal stability when paired with the ZX module for 80km long-distance transmission? Is it compatible with third-party compliant optical modules?
A2: Signal attenuation <0.8dB within 80km, with no packet loss. Huawei original modules are preferred, but it is also compatible with IEEE standard third-party modules, offering flexible adaptation.
Q3: How to choose between 24/32-port/Gigabit Ethernet high-end circuit boards?
A3: 24-port boards are suitable for <30 devices, 32-port boards are suitable for 30-40 devices, and Ethernet boards are suitable for short-distance scenarios. For more than 40 devices and long-distance requirements, this product offers the best cost-performance ratio.
