NOTE:

The S5732-H48XUM2CC is a hybrid optical-electrical switch. You can use one multi-GE port and one 10GE SFP+ optical port together by connecting them through a hybrid cable. This cable is composed of copper cores terminated on RJ45 connectors and optical fibers terminated on LC connectors. The typical application scenario is as follows:

  • The copper cores connect a multi-GE port of a switch to a PoE_IN port of an AP to allow the switch to supply power to the AP while no data is transmitted over this cable.

  • The optical fibers connect a SFP+ optical port on the switch to a SFP+ optical port of the AP to transmit data.
