Basic function
The card provides data packet processing and traffic management on 36 100GE optical ports, which can be used as 36 40GE optical ports or split into 144 25GE or 144 10GE optical ports.

The S16700-8 chassis provides a maximum of 288 100GE ports.
100GE port
100GE ports on the card support QSFP28 and QSFP+ optical modules. A 100GE port can be used as a 40GE port through auto-sensing, or split into 4 x 25GE or 4 x 10GE ports.
The card can provide a maximum port density of 36 x 100GE, 36 x 40GE, 144 x 25GE, or 144 x 10GE.
Each 100GE port can be used as a 40GE port through auto-sensing.
Every two ports (0-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17, 18-19, 20-21, 22-23, 24-25, 26-27, 28-29, 30-31, 32-33, and 34-35) form a group. The two ports in a group need to be split together, and each port can be split into 4 x 25GE or 4 x 10GE ports.

MACsec
Ports 0 to 7, 12 to 19, and 24 to 31 support MACsec. When these ports are configured to work at 40 Gbit/s or are split, MACsec is still supported. Other ports do not support MACsec.
